The dancer has Beautiful L.V. hand made clothingThe music box movement is made by Reuge and is stamped "Reuge Swiss"The music box itself is wood and has a glass dome. Both have gold foil embellishments.The music box is wound from the bottom and then play itself out . Music plays nicely and Dancer works wonderfully (please see the video to see it in action).Item is in excellent condition for its age. This is one of a kind Dancer very unique , offered by Louis Vuitton for a brief period of time in their Toy Department in Paris around 1950s.(This music box was sold in the toy department of the Louis Vuitton Shop in 1955. The toy department of Louis Vuitton was founded by Mrs. Gaston Vuitton.(Guston-Louis , Vuitton's wife had become personally involved in the founding of the toy department. The toy department endured until well after the move to Avenue Marceau in 1954.)It measures approx. 8 1/2" Tall x 5" Round (Wooden base). Glass is about 4" Round100%
