The idea of Desert Rose was largely the work of Mary Jane Winans. It is purported to be the most popular Earthenware Pattern even made in America with 35 million pieces sold by 1960. We will be offering in short order a large number of pieces in this pattern. Some of the pieces are prior to Interpace and others the original Gladding, McBean and Company. By winning all the piece a NEARLY complete service for 12 could be accumulated and shipping can be combined for reduced shipping. All were hand painted and made in the USA. This auction is for seven (7) footed soup or oatmill bowls measuring 5 1/2" in diameter and standing 2" tall resting on a foot. Include the Interpace logo and some without. Even though only one is shown this auction is for seven footed soup oatmeal bowls. Each was valued in Bob Page & Dale Frederiksen's book Franciscan An American Dinnerware Tradition in 1999 at $$32.00 each. The last image shows all of the pieces being offered but this read more
