At auction is a 93 card uncut sheet of Shaquille O'Neal's special Basketball Trading Cards and an 8x10 autographed photo of Shaq with a Certificate of Authentication (COA). In the mid-nineties, I was a big collector of Basketball Trading cards. While buying cards a few packages or an entire box at a time, I was lucky enough to receive several cards with special mail-in offers. One of those cards was an exchange card for a full size cardboard standup of Michael Jordan. Another one was for this uncut sheet of Shaquille O'Neal cards. The cards on the uncut sheet are all Shaquille O'Neal cards and all of them are SkyBox and NBA Hoops . They include the Shaq Talk cards, The Admiral's Choice cards, SkyBox Premium cards, Supreme Court cards, SkyBox and NBA Hoops Rookie cards, Magic's All Rookie Team cards, SkyBox and NBA Hoops Annual Player cards, East All-Star cards, NBA All-Star Weekend (Utah) cards, Big Numbers cards, The Center Stage cards and NBA Draft cards, all for Shaq. All of the cards are from 1992 through 1994. Using a special 512 page Beckett Basketball Price Guide to find the value of each card and adding them together, they come to over $1,450.00 (one thousand four hundred and fifty U.S. dollars). But you won't have to pay anyw near that amount! Just win the bidding and it's yours. Shaq is a movie star as well as a star on the basketball court. He will go down in history among the all time greatest NBA Centers such as Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Hakeem Olajuwon and Kareem Abdul Jabbar. He has helped lead three separate teams to the NBA Finals with his Monster Dunk and The Black Tornado, which often comes with a whirlwind spin that seems to leave the defense confused. In 2000, he was the NBA MVP and he was the NBA Finals MVP three times in 2000, 2001 and 2002. In 1999, 2000 and 2001, he helped lead the Lakers in winning the NBA championships and in 2006, he helped lead the Miami Heat to that title. This summer Shaq has been working on a TV series to help overweight children lose weight and to learn how to live healthier lifestyles. Shaq has a fondness for children and I am sure that he has been involved with other children's charities that I am not aware of at this time. He seems to be a quiet person unlike most NBA stars and that fact is a pleasant one. I know for sure that he will go down in my book as one of the all time greatest NBA players that I have ever followed, and not just for his ability on the court. If you happen to know how to get information to Mr. O'Neal, please let him know about this scarce, uncut sheet of his NBA cards. He may very well like to have them himself! As a lifelong friend of mine always states, "One thing you never know, you know, is that you never know, you know?"
