is a c. 1950 Hopalong Cassidy Lunchbox, with original thermos in a beautiful deep red! This remarkable example of the "cowboy era" of the late 40's and early 50's has survived, nestled in a closet, for over 55 years. This model was one of the first produced to fill the demand of young kids who were hooked on Hopalong Cassidy , Roy Rogers....Dale Evans etc. I certainly was! Condition: Some scrapes and scratches exposing the gray metal underneath. Not rusty. Remnants of a small band of tape above the decal, w a young man's name was proudly displayed, to be sure he always brought HIS Hopalong home. Decal: PERFECT !! GREAT COLOR...not faded! Fine print reads: "William Boyd LTD, Aladdin Industries Incorpoated, Nashville, Tenn...U.S.A. Inside...very gentle use! Some scraping, but minor...no rust. Thermos: Outside excellent. Inside....some stain....chocolate milk? Cap has an OLD red tape repair over a fine line crack. Original cork! Shipping approx. $8.50 plus insurance.
