AmericanCharacter 1960 Whimsie Bessie the Bashful Bride Doll in Box This is a vintage American Character Whimsie Bessie the Bashful Bride doll that comes with her original box. The doll is marked on her back “Amer Doll & Toy Corp. 1960”. She is about 22” tall and in excellent condition. She is wearing her original clothing, veil and shoes. She has lime green hair in the original curly set, and she is made of vinyl. Her clothes have some age stains, but are otherwise in great condition with no holes or tears. Her veil has all the original flowers at the top and she has her arm corsage. Her dress and veil could possibly be washed or dry-cleaned, I will leave that up to the new owner. The doll is clean, her face paint is complete and bright, her left hand has some residue on her palm as seen in the picture. I have never displayed her; she has always been in her box (poor thing!).
