This auction is for one ORIGINAL 1966 AMT Ford Fairlane 500 GT Hardtop 1/25 scale model kit. Kit 5166. Opening hood. This kit is the ORIGINAL kit, not like any of the kits that were reissued in the 1970's and 1980's. Kit is 100% complete, unpainted, and unglued. Kit includes both metal axles, and chassis screws (easily lost with these older kits). Absolutely NOTHING has been done with this kit. 95% of plastic parts are still on the sprue. Instruction sheet appears to have never been opened, prior to photos for this auction. Decal sheet in excellent condition. This kit appears to have been purchased, and placed in storage for the last 33 years. Box is in decent shape, with a bit of discoloration from minor water damage, but still displays vivid colors. All four corners are tight, and unbroken. Please see pics attached to this auction.I do not normally place RESERVES on auctions, but due to the rarity of the 1965-1966 AMT model kits, a very modest RESERVE has been set at less than fair market value.
