This is an offering of a factory sealed AMT '72 Corvette LT-1 convertible kit(#6080, c.1991) and a mint and complete '70 Corvette LT-1 coupe body, also from AMT's sister kit. The sealed '72 convertible kit features the same parts and engraving as the '70 LT-1 kit and as such a '70 LT-1 convertible can be constructed with this kit or for that matter any of the '72 AMT Vette kits. Chevrolet made minor interior trim changes between the 3 years this body style was produced before the new '73 rubber bumper Vettes. AMT made no engraving or mold changes to the '72 kits different than the '70's. It was a marketing ploy to add a "different" kit to their product line. The kit features a very accurate body and great engraving along with both soft and hard tops. * BONUS: The '70 coupe body that is included with the sealed '72 convertible kit includes these associated components: body, front and rear glass, bumper/grille, rear bumpers, inner fender panels, radiator, firewall, front valance(included but not shown in photo), taillights, hood, interior tub, dash, buckets w/ backs, steering wheel and decal sheet. I've built 2 '70 LS-7 Vettes for S/S class racing using the Revell '68-69 frame/suspension and interior bucket because of separate door panels and is a near "bolt in" scratch build.
