Up for bid are four smoke colored wine glasses designed by Andries Dirk Copier, who worked for the Glasfabriek Leerdam factory in the Netherlands. According to my research, Andries Copier created these glasses around 1927 and were part of his Peer design series, which featured thin glass stemware with bowls that resembled a pear, along with octagonal bases. Two of the glasses measure a little less than 5 1/4 inches tall and hold about 5 ounces of liquid, while one measures 4 7/8 inches tall with a fat bowl and holds 10 ounces of liquid, and the last one measures about 4 5/8 inches tall and holds about 8 ounces of liquid. All four have the Copier acid etched mark under the base. One of the glasses has a very tiny fleabite on one of the points on the base. (See photo). Other than that, they are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. They would make a great addition to your A. D. Copier glass collection.Andries Dirk (A.D.)
