Please take a look at our other listings this week for great examples of 18th and 19th century primitives all offered on no reserve auctions!*A Great 18th Century Wrought Iron Candle Loom Light with 'Beehive' Style Socket Design!Nice example of a Colonial Era hanging pendant candleholder dating 1770-1810. Similar examples to this form can be seen in numerous reference books on the subject of period illumination and interior country furnishings.As you can see the blacksmith who made this piece created the form by creating a cicrcular socket shape in a 'beehive' curled pattern. Also note the great twist design on the shaft and the top hanging hook.Take a moment to Some slight pitting associative of age, though overall very good+ condition.
