This old Chinese robe is in fantastic condition for its age. The piping at the top back neck edge has separated and there is one small hole in the lining in the middle back, otherwise the lining is intact! There is just a small line of discoloration down the middle back at the bottom (pic 12). Some of the trim may need to be tacked down, and there is a small opening in the center back seam (pic 11 )that could be easily repaired. There is only one small area of embroidery that has unraveled slightly (pic10), and some not too noticeable stains or white spots overall (pic 7). Pictures 5 and 6 show some discoloration on one embroidery corner. The overall effect is stunning and the embroidery is intact! The silk color is still vibrant blue and probably not that much different than when it was brand new!
