This auction is for a lovely antique (late Qing/ early Republic Period) CHINESE MINIATURE JAR decorated in the style popularized by Wang Bing Rong. The jar stands just 2 ½” (6.5cm) high. It is shaped like a melon and has an applied decoration of a melon vine with one fruit displayed against a turquoise background. The lid has a knob shaped like the stem of the melon. The jar is marked with the word “CHINA” scratched into the base. The jar is in excellent condition with no damage.
