Beautiful vintage box with a rich history! This is a Chinese porcelain Box made from a fragment of a 15th -17th Century broken Ming Dynasty Temple Vase. Many of these treasured vases and jars were destroyed in protest during the Chinese Cultural Revolution in the 1960's -'70's. The silver plate over copper box was individually crafted according to the shape of the found fragment. Intricate Repose design is stamped on the silver on all sides. It measures approx. 2" by 2" by 1 1/8" decorated with a Beauty Lady. The lid fits perfectly. It displays beautifully and would make a wonderful jewelry box and a unique conversation piece! will ship to the USA and Canada only THANKS FOR LOOKING and BIDDING!!
