Antique 19thc Pre Parian Bisque/ Biscuit / figure of a Setter c1830 Rockingham Derby Minton? Delightful early 19thc biscuit/ bisque figure of a Setter dog. This gorgeous setter figure is 5.25 inches long, 2.75 inches wide and is 5 inches high. The dog strides out on a flower strewn base. Superb modelling with fine crisp detail . In good condition with just two or three firing flaws so often seen with this medium; there is a fine line around the base of the tail but this could be an original join. On close inspection it is possible that the right back leg has been reattached but this is not certain but please be aware of the doubt. Some of the flower petal and leaves are nibbled. The photos do form part of the description. Unmarked but possibly Rockingham as a very similar modelled setter can be seen in DOGS IN ENGLISH PORCELAIN of the 19 th century by Dennis Rice. This rare, early 19thc biscuit setter possibly Rockingham, displays very well indeed. I will ship world wide Overseas buyers pay pal only please. ~~~~~~~~
