This auction is for a beautiful antique Edwardian era silk velvet textile fragment with a cotton base. Its pile is fine and close to the surface and its texture is luxuriously soft. Although lightweight, it is not flimsy thin and has body to it. The shade is a rich purple blue which in my opinion, is an indigo blue (it is NOT navy blue). Photo 2 has been lightened and it is much darker. It is a stunning textile and a must for the collector of silk velvet. This is wonderful condition with no flaws that I detect. It measures approximately 13.5" - 14.5" x 13". FLAT-RATE SHIPPING FEE IS $1.35 USA
