DESCRIPTION This is a very beautiful, very unique and old FRENCH NEOCLASSICAL BRONZE-BRASS c. 1820 jewelry dresser box with a key. The box has a characteristic, fantastic and richly detailed relief in brass with a wonderful medallion of a VESTAL VIRGIN in an exquisite and ornate Neoclassical style. The box also has fancy EMPIRE leaf forms and NEOCLASSICAL rosettes along with wreath ornaments on an elegant brass with silver and gold colors. The box has the original key. The box has a very antiquated and extravagant feel to it. The box measures 2" tall (5 1/2 cm), 6" long (22 1/2 cm) and 6 1/2" wide (16 cm). The box is in excellent condition except for that the silver and gold colors are a little worn.
