For sale is a porcelain pipe bowl made in France in the early 19th century. Or at least they look French to me but the riders are wearing some funny shaped red hats so I am not 100%. The entire pipe is painted with a military battle scene all around with soldiers on horses on the left side and single men on the right side shooting rifles. The main guy in red on the horse might be a Red Lancer that were a famous group of soldiers. An interesting piece and I wish I knew more about this kind of scene. It is well painted and the scene is in great condition. There is a gold trim underneath that has wear and the pipe bowl top has a hairline as shown. Still a piece worth owning for sure! The pipe is 4.625 inches tall and the top diameter is 1.125 inches. It is not marked which is normal on pipes like this.
