Antique Old General Store Shop Keeper's Bell Primitive Iron This is a rusty old iron bell, perhaps from a shop or general store of long ago. It is not giving away any secrets to its history so this is all guesswork. We cleaned some of the surface rust off with a rust cleaner but didn't want to detract from the character of this old timer. The bell itself is 4 inches high and 4 inches wide at the bottom. The entire piece including the decorative mounting bracket is 18 inches. It is not as heavy as cast iron so I'm guessing it is just plain iron metal. It has a nice clear loud ringer. No markings that I can find.
