Antique Armand Marseille 390N DRGM 246/1 Bisque Made in Germany.Antique Armand Marseille 390N DRGM 24y Bisque Made in Germany Armand Marseille was one of the worlds largest, and best known bisque doll head manufacturers. The founder was born in Russian in 1856 and came to Germany with his family after 1860. In 1884 he bought the toy factory in Sonneberg. In 1885 he acquires a porcelain factory in Koppelsdorf. From 1900 to 1930, Marseille produced 1,000 bisque doll heads a day. Marseille did not manufacture the bodies for his dolls, but purchased them from another doll making company. His doll heads were made from molds. The company stopped making dolls in 1950. Our doll is a 390N DRGM 246y.
