Antique Hapsburg Austria Pierced Porcelain Vase with Figural "Blossom" Rim and Seahorse Handles Hand Painted Carnations ITEM HIGHLIGHTS Provenance: v See photos; these pieces are not usually signed, but originate from Hapsburg Austria v Circa: 1890's Brief Description: v Here is a delicate, gorgeous hand painted porcelain vase with front and back cartouches of Carnations, I believe, on soft "fresh grass" green and tan ground. Sweet embossed designs decorate the rich and lavishly painted cobalt reserves and front and back panels.. v The figural blossom shaped pierced rim is decorated with shiny gold on top of the dark cobalt with the "Seahorse" shaped handles springing from the neck to the middle of the tiny bulbous body. v This little sweetie sets on four tiny feet that are connected by small arched risings with embellishments embossed on the cobalt. This vase is made from very thin, yet durable translucent bright white porcelain and the handles are molded into the vase. A totally gorgeous 19th Century piece of cobalt porcelain!
