LARGE ANTIQUE ENGLISH HOLDCROFT MAJOLICA SHELL BOWL This is a huge antique majolica shell shaped bowl impressed Holdcroft on the bottom together with an English Registry mark for the year 1880. The bowl features an attractive turquoise blue interior glaze and it rests on three conch shell feet in a light blue color. It measures 12 1/4" x 9 5/8" x 4 1/8". Condition is very good with no chips, cracks or hairlines but shows some uniform crazing to the interior. T is also a probable professional restoration to a rim chip (a slight difference to the brown glaze, visible under careful examination).
