~~ E KOMO MAI and welcome to Marianne of Maui's Listings~~ Another one of Maui's Treasures! This picture frame came from my Grandmother when I was a little girl. It was next to her bed. It IS precisely as old as I claim, and it IS from Italy. It is a slice of time such as it is. When you touch it, you are truly connecting with an attached row house on Sterling Street in Brooklyn, New York. You can see the eggshell walls, the music coming from Ebbetts Field in the background , w the Dodgers were playing, and even smell the blacktop on the row of garage roofs in the back yard, (and in the foreground you can hear the tick tock of the big, bronze Roman general clock she had atop the china closet!). Trust me, you can touch the past when you hold this remarkable artifact in your hand. It is truly precious with the typically understated blue and white flowers and geometric border that was so much the fashion of the day. It does have a slight condition issue on the top right hand corner w it has been slightly damaged, but don't email me, if you don't see it in the foto, it cannot be all THAT bad, after all it is at a very low opening bid for something of this age, as it could possibly be older than what I listed it at.
