ANTIQUE RUDOLSTADT HAND PAINTED PORTRAIT PORCELAIN VASE-Previously Repaired This beautiful vase has ornate gilded handles and gold accents. It features a lovely floral design and decorative texturing on body of urn. The portrait is of a young woman with long hair. One of the Vase Gilt Handles (RH) was glued on (pictured) and there is a crack in the top of vase (pictured). For this reason, I am starting the bidding low. The bottom of vase stamped with green Germany stamp and the number 48 (pictured). Size: approximately 9.5" tall I have another Rudolstadt Porcelain Vase on Ebay. Check my listings. _________________ Manufactured: 1904-1924Rudolstadt was a faience factory in the Thuringia region of Germany from 1720 to about 1791. From about 1887 to 1918, the New York and Rudolstadt Pottery made decorated porcelain marked with the RW and crown familiar to collectors. This porcelain was imported by Lewis Straus and Sons of New York, which later became Nathan Straus and Sons. The word Royal was included in their import mark. Collectors often call it "Royal Rudolstadt." Most pieces found today were made in the late nineteenth or early twentieth century .
