This is a porcelain figure of General Bertrand in his regimental uniform and all hand painted. An early 20th century German figure produced by Scheibe-Alsbach, which made high class figures in the Meissen style during the 19th & early 20th centuries. The figure stands on a square base, sword at his side. Inscription regarding Bertrand is incised on the bottom with the Scheibe-Alsbach Dresden mark. He was named the Grand Marshall of the Palace by Napoleon. Signed: Scheibe-Alsbach Dresden mark. 12753 Measures: 11" High - Excellent Condition.Great Christmas Gift!
