This is an antique primitive handmade wooden dough bowl and butter paddle from Lancaster, Pennsylvania circa late 1800s. This bowl was hand turned from a single piece of wood. The wood grain of inside of the dough bowl resembles a sun burst. The dough bowl measures 15 inches wide, 5 inches high, and 44 inches round. The butter paddle is hand carved out of a single piece of wood. The paddle has a 4 inch handle which is notched on the edge to allow it to rest on the rim of the bowl and a hook for hanging. The spoon of the paddle measures 5 inches long and 5 inches wide. The grain of the butter paddle's wood has a spattered look. The Wooden Dough Bowl and Butter Paddle are in great condition with no damage and have a beautiful age patina.
