Artistic Raised Handle Yixing Zisha Clay Pottery Personal Tea Pot Teapot This artistic and elegant Yixing teapot is made from the Yixing province, an area situated west of Shanghai , China . Yixing teapot is made from special minerals rich rock which was grounded with water then filtered to create a paste called Zisha sand or clay. This special paste is then used to make the teapots and tea cups. The inside of the Yixing teapot is never glazed. Each time the teapot is used it absorbs some of the oil (aroma and flavors) from your tea, therefore only one type of tea should be used in each teapot. This uniqueness of Yixing teapot will enhance the flavors of your tea after many uses. Some say that after many uses, you can brew tea in an Yixing teapot without adding any tea leaves.
