After 19 seasons with the Utah Jazz, John Stockton retired in May of 2003 concluding an illustrious career. John was selected by the Utah Jazz as the 16th overall pick in the 1984 NBA draft which also included Hakeem Olajuwon, Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley. In 1985, the Utah Jazz drafted Karl Malone. During their years together in the NBA, Stockton and Malone would become the most consistently productive guard-forward combination. Stockton holds the record for the NBA all-time Assists (15,806) together with the NBA all-time Steals record of 3,265. He was selected ten times as an NBA all-star. During his 18th season with the Utah Jazz, he set a record for the most seasons with the same NBA team. He also became the 10th player in NBA history to play at the age of 40. In 1996, John Stockton was selected as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history and was honored during the 1996-97 All-star Ceremonies in Cleveland, Ohio.
