Awesome Stone Eagle Claw Effigy Peace Pipe This is another great piece from my personal collection. Please take a moment to check out my other listings. This is an amazing stone eagle claw effigy peace pipe. The pipe is in excellent condition with just some minor scratches here and there, though it can be smoked, it has not been used. The pipe measures 5 1/4 inches long and 1 7/8 inches tall. The Eagle has long been a symbol of honor, strength, speed and stealth to the Native Americans. The Native Americans did not smoke pipes for the sake of smoking as people do today. They believed smoking to be very spiritual and combined it with prayer and communion with the Great Spirit. That to me is what makes effigy pipes so interesting. There is always a reason for the particular effigy, Not simply decoration. These pipes were always treated with great care and respect.
