BR(SR) Standard5MT Class 73068 FoxTransfers etched plates (Smoke box Number & Shed Code) have been used to enhance a standard release Bachmann 32-500 ‘ 73068 ’. She has been enhanced with heavy weathering (with oil, rust and limescale deposits), coal in the tender and a Springside lamp has also been added. In addition to this the smoke box door lamp bracket has been upgraded and has had the front NEM socket removed to improve appearance. 73068 has been fitted with all of detailing accessories. She has also been given approximately half an hour of running in and in addition she has been fitted with a Bachmann 36-553 3 function decoder . Brief History of the Real ‘73068’ 73068 was built at the Crewe Works for BR and entered service in October 1954. She was one of a number of 5MT’s repainted in BR Green Livery, this happened in late 1958. After only 11 years and 2 months in service 73068 was withdrawn in December 1965 and broken up in April 1966 at Cashmores, Newport.
