Battery-op Western Special Locomotive, 13" long, in the original box. Made by Modern Toys, Japan. Runs well; takes 3 D batteries (not included). Makes a puffing noise, whistles, the front wiggles, the headlight works, also has another flashing light. When it runs into an obstacle, it turns and goes in another direction. It is in excellent condition except for the following: there is a wrinkle at the right rear cab top, and some rust in the battery compartment where a bad battery was left in too long (see photos). The contacts are all OK. The box has a couple of taped corners, but still has its fitted insert which holds the train in place. This is a very nice toy, and has not had hard use. Everything, including the jointed front, is in good working order. Buyer pays S&H.
