Beaded Moccasins Ladies size 6-6 ½ NEW ConditionRecently crafted by Mohawk artist Valorie Hughes. She has been making traditional footwear for over 25 years. The size will fit a ladies 6 or 6 ½ . The bottom measurements are 9" long and 3.5" wide. They are 3" high. Uppers crafted from commercial braintan deerskin, this pair of moccasins will last forever and are really comfortable as they will form to your feet. The soles are made from very THICK over 1/4th inch saddle leather. They are sewn together with heavy sinew. As you can see in the closeup picture t is no walking on the stitches because it has a 3 rd piece of deerskin sewn in protecting the stitches and serves as a hinge between the uppers and the soles. Beaded as what is known as a 3/4th beaded moccasins w the instep does not have any beadwork. Beadwork is done in rows of lazy stitch beaded directly to the deerskin. The commercial braintan deerskin is a light cream color. Beadwork colors are dark blue background with red, orange, yellow and light green. Metal spots adorn the center of vamp area. Original design, a one of a kind pair. My camera did not do these moccasins justice. An absolute beauty of a pair. Would make a wonderful gift to yourself, your feet will love you for it.
