Beautiful Ukrainian hand painted wood pedestal bowl This bowl was hand painted with a traditional Ukrainian folk art design and boasts beautiful carved wooden bell ornaments which hang from the base of the bowl. This bowl was made in the Hutsul region of the Carpathian mountains in Ukraine in the 1990s. The pedestal is a separate piece and has a small peg which fits into a hole in the base of the bowl. T is a crack in the wood on the bottom of the base of the bowl. The crack is not visible from the top of the bowl. The crack was t when the bowl was purchased. It looks like the bowl was made from two pieces of wood, as t seems to be a seam (slightly visible) under the painted design on opposite sides of the bowl. It also appears to be missing one of the wooden bells (please see photos) The wonderfully detailed painting showcases the craftsmanship and traditional artwork of the Ukrainian people.
