This is a very rare tinplate toy Diver made by Gebruder Bing of Germany in the 1920s. In wonderful original as-pictured condition (some nicks in the paint and seems on right arm have opened slightly). Measures approximately 7" tall. Winning bidder to pay shipping and insurance. In the book you’ll see the Orkin Craft battleship and Radiguet ocean liner plus Fleischmann tinplate submarine with clockwork mechanism. Also pictured are Weeden Bliss and Falk tin windup boats from the early 1900s. Don’t forget JEP Ives and Bliss. They were also very prominent as was George Brown. Ernst Plank and Arnold also made gunboat s of superb quality some with live steam and some with windup propulsion. Whatever your interest, this is a great place to start.
