This is a very nice windup toy made by Gebruder Bing of Germany between 1928 - 1935 . Displays beautifully. In partially restored working condition (as pictured). Measures approximately 9" long. Bing logo "BW" on top deck. Includes original key and lifeboats. Rear flag on boat and lighthouse set are not included in this auction - only for display purposes. Also pictured are Weeden Bliss and Falk tin windup boats from the early 1900s. Don’t forget JEP Ives and Bliss. They were also very prominent as was George Brown. Ernst Plank and Arnold also made gunboat s of superb quality some with live steam and some with windup propulsion. Whatever your interest, this is a great place to start.
