18 (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with modeled bosom and shoulder blades, brown glass paperweight inset eyes in perfect almond shape, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brush stroked brows with feathered detail, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips and tiny stuck-out tongue tip, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, Bru kid bebe body with slender torso, scalloped edge collarette, kid over wooden upper arms, bisque forearms, sculpted hands, Chevrot hinged thighs, wooden lower legs. Condition: generally excellent, baby fingers reglued. Marks: Bru Jne 6 (head and shoulder plate). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, Chevrot era, circa 1886. Value Points: particularly sweet expression on the beautiful classic-faced Bru with rich brown eyes, wonderful sculpting of mouth and chin, fine original body, antique white dress with handmade lace collar, undergarments, ruffled and silk ribbon bonnet, stockings and leather shoes.
