This lovely Guinea Fowl plate was created by Leanne Blake Pizio in Oak Ridge, NC. The piece features two sweet Guinea Fowl on the top and another pair on the bottom. To make this piece, Leanne first threw the plate body on the potter's wheel with a white clay. The piece was then covered with a black clay paint called slip. Leanne then used a process called "sgraffito" to carve away the back slip to reveal the white clay underneath. This piece measures 10.25 inches diameter and almost an inch in height. The bottom is signed "lp". All pieces by Leanne are lead-free, oven and microwave safe. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
