Blithedale Romance Nathaniel Hawthorne 1852 Early Ed Offered for auction is A FIRST EDITION copy of THE BLITHEDALE ROMANCE by Nathaniel Hawthorne Published by Ticknor and Fields in Boston, 1852 (no additional printings indicated) FIRST EDITION LATER ISSUE. No ads in front, no month of printing indicated, 288pp, 8pp ads in rear, CO at bottom of spine Hardcover blindstamped brown cloth with gold lettering. Measures 5"x7 1/4"; good, small chips and tears to spine ends, wear and bumps to corners, some minor spots and scuffs to boards, chip to upper corner of blank rear endpaper, previous owner's name to inside of front cover, hinges solid and tight, occasional light foxing and small spots to text, dampstain to front endpaper and previous owner's name, moderate toning to pages from age. Over all a very nice copy Payment is due within 1 day (I'm moving and must have time to pack and ship this in advance of move) of auction closing date. Shipping inside the USA is by Media Mail. Shipping to overseas locations may vary depending on location, weight, size and method desired.
