Very detailed and excellent condition sculpture by A. Santini. The Russian wolfhounds are 6 3/4 inches tall and 8 inches long and made out of oxolyte which has a creamy w hite finish and becomes richer and deeper to a warm ivory hue. Oxolyte is pulverized marble and resin and is a very hard substance. ( I think oxolyte is also known as bonded carrara white marble from the Northern Italian Q uarry of Carrara. After they are removed from the mold they are hand finished to produce the beauty of the wolfhounds. The wolfhounds are imported from Italy. The bottom is marked with a label, sculptor A. Santini classic figure made in Italy. The Borzoi Wolfhounds comes from my smoke free antique and gift shoppe. I do my very best to give accurate and complete descriptions.
