Very detailed and excellent condition sculpture by A. Santini. The Russian wolfhounds are 6 3/4 inches tall and 8 inches long and made out of oxolyte which has a creamy white finish and becomes richer and deeper to a warm ivory hue. Oxolyte is pulverized marble and resin and is a very hard substance. ( I think oxolyte is also known as bonded carrara white marble from Northern Italian quarry of Carrara. After they are removed from the mold they are hand finished. The wolfhounds are imported from Italy. The bottom is marked with a label, sculptor A. Santini classic figure made in Italy. The Borzoi Wolfhounds comes from my smoke free antique and gift shoppe. I do not charge for any handling fee, you just pay for the cost of postage. .
