See the pictures. This is an old 1930's Boy Scouts of America contest medal. This isA FIRST AID and is "BRONZE" with a blue ribbon. These came in gold, silver and bronze color metal for first, second and third place. These existed for archery, camping, cooking, knot tying, signaling, swimming, wall scaling, fire building, etc. Since the 1950's, the BSA has used a universal scout emblem design for the BSA contest medals. I have always liked the design of this particular medal, which shows two scouts bandanging the paw of a large pet dog.
