Burnham & Gilroy Philadelphia Wax Sealer Fruit Jar R. Arthurs Patent 1855 As Is.This is a really tough wax sealer to come across. Embossing reads "R. ARTHUR'S PATENT JANY 2nd 1855" and on the front it reads "ARTHUR, BURNHAM & GILROY 10th & GEO. STs PHILADELPHIA" This wax sealer is not perfect. There are two micro cracks both individually shown in pictures. One is on the shoulder of the jar and the other is by the seam near the base. They are difficult to see! See pics! There is some wear and flaking on the lip consistent with wax sealers of this early time period! There is a green inclusion in the lip which adds to the overall character of this jar!
