Cambridge Glass Caprice 2 Each – HARD TO FIND #16 – Finger Bowl & Liner in Beautiful Moonlight Blue!!! Caprice was likely the highest quantity single pattern produced by Cambridge Glass Company. The first design patents were issued early in 1936 and by June of that year “China, Glass and Lamps” magazine wrote “The Caprice Line includes over 200 items. More than 150 are in open stock”. The widespread appeal of this pattern was in its simplicity. A beautiful glass pattern, it was an elegant choice for a formal dinner and equally at home when used in informal gatherings with friends and neighbors. Moonlight is highly collectible, especially hard to find items. The #16 finger bowl is such an item and, with its liner plate, is a rare find! Dimensions: Bowl, 4.5 inches, round, deep, cupped. Liner plate, 6.1 inch with indent. Condition: These items are in near mint condition. Glass is perfectly clear with no rough edges, chips or cracks. The only evidence of use is a very light utensil mark on the bottom of one bowl. The plates look like they were just shipped from the factory. And, in moonlight blue, they are spectacular!! (Check my other auctions for an additional two finger bowls without liner plates). Offered with NO RESERVE!!! (Ships from Rockville, MD 20853, USPS Priority Mail. Shipping weight 3 lbs.
