This is a contemporary daguerreotype by Máté Bakody from 2013.Mercury developed, gilded, 4x5 daguerreotype.On the picture you can see the Chain Bridge in Budapest, Hungary. The daguerreotype is sealed with glass and archival tape. Framed in a black wooden frame.Daguerreotype is the first photography process. Every picture is unique, just like a painting. The picture was taken on a silver plated copper plate.
