CONVENT DRESSED ANTIQUE NUN DOLL "SISTER OF MERCY" a beautiful reminder of days gone by This stunning 20" Heubach Koppelsdorf antique nun is a wonderful reminder of those days gone by. This lovely nun doll was dressed by the convent Sisters of the order of Mercy. The doll is wearing the traditional black pleated habit with a white cotton one piece undergarment, a black long slip, face piece, fore head band, black short under veil, long black chiffon over veil, wrist cuffs and a collar. The doll's waist is cinched with the long leather draped belt, her rosary is draped at her side and she wears the crucifix tucked at the belt. She also has on black leggings and black shoes. T is some age wear on the habit, a few moth holes that mostly fall into the pleats and some age dust. The white items are more of a cream color from age. This doll has a beautiful face and wonderful blue eyes. The doll itself is marked "Heubach .250.2. Koppelsdorf". T is a small little raised white mark just below the one eye. It looks to me like a factory flaw. The doll's body is a jointed antique body. It is in wonderful condition, I did notice that the fingers have had some repairs done to them.
