This auction is for the following RARE Piper Bill Millin WWII D-Day Bagpipes Commando Brigade autographed cut that has been mated with an unsigned 5x7 inch photograph the autograph is JSA authenticated #QQ54954. This Piper Bill Millin WWII D-Day Bagpipes Commando Brigade autographed cut has been authenticated by the most prestigious and respected authentication company in the hobby JSA. Autographed items that have been authenticated by JSA adds an additional value to all signed items that bare the JSA authentication process.BIO: Mad Piper Bill Millin (Deceased) who was the Piper of the 1st Special Service Commando Brigade, and was amongst the more noticeable men to land on the Normandy Beaches on the 6th June as he played the Brigade ashore with his bagpipes under enemy fire. Millin piped the commandos ashore to the tune of Highland Laddie and then at Lord Lovat's request marched up and down the beach playing Road to the Isles. Later that day he led the brigade across Pegasus Bridge and crossed Ranville Bridge playing Blue Bonnets over the Border.
