For Sale ― Sturgis 2005 Rally $1 Casino Tokens

In Good, Used, Condition

These tokens are one of a set of four tokens commemorating the 2005 Sturgis , SD Rally.

These tokens are from 2005.

The most recent Sturgis Rally casino token sets made were in 2008.

No tokens were made for the 2009 Rally.

It is quite likely that no other Sturgis Rally casino tokens will be made in the future. Apparently the tokens are too expensive to make and the casinos are now strictly using (or soon will be using) the new “Ticket-in, Ticket-out” machines – no more tokens – just pieces of paper spit out by the machines.

I believe the entire 2005 set includes –

1. Road King

2. Heritage Springer

3. Dyna Low Rider

4. 1946 Knuckle Head

The tokens are –

Silver colored 1-1/2” in diameter Used in the slot machines in downtown Deadwood, SD

The front of the token has a picture of a Harley Davidson “Road King” motorcycle, and reads:

The tokens have scuff marks from 3 to 4 years of use in slot machines, but are generally in good shape.

As most casinos are going to the “Ticket-in / Ticket-out” machines, these gaming tokens are becoming harder and harder to find.
