This delightful Navajo doll is riding a gorgeous white sculpted horse and dressed in the traditional way o fthe older Navajo women. She is wearing a purple velvet shirt and colorful flower-print cotton skirt. On her feet are tall rust colored moccasins. This wonderful doll’s face has such a whimsical, happy expression – it is hard to quit looking at her. The facial features are painted on a fabric face. Gray wool frames her face and is pulled back into the traditional bun of the Navajo women. Beads decorate her hair in back, hang from her ears, and adorn her shirt. A traditional looking sash encircles her waist. The horse is a wonderful sculpture made from a white fuzzy fabric. He has a leather halter and painted eyes. This set - the Navajo woman and horse - is the nicest I have owned. Standing 8.5"H and 9" L, this would be a wonderful, fun piece to have in a collection or on a shelf by itself. It is really a gorgeous doll, fun in all ways, and traditional to the Navajo culture. The price is higher than my other Navajo riders on horses have been because of the high-quality of this special one.
