This auction is for this very hard to find set of 22 pieces, of vintage transparent topaz colored Akro Agate, child's play set glassware. This is a child's luncheon set with 2 tea cups that measure 1 1/4" tall x 1 7/8" in diameter, 6 tumblers that are 1 3/4" tall x 1 3/4" diameter at the top, 5 lunch plates 3 1/4" in diameter, a tea pot that is 3" tall to the top of the lid x 2 1/4" in diameter at the top, a creamer 1 1/4" tall x 2 3/4" spout to the handle and 6 saucers 2 3/4" in diameter. The pattern of the set are Transparent Topaz with 3 layers of small X's that form a band around the top edge. The plates have none.The condition of the pieces are very good I see no damage to them no chips cracks or any type of repair. I do not believe the set was played with at all it is very nice. Each piece is marked with the A with an eagle emblem wings outstretched, appears as if flying through the A the Akro Agate trade mark. This company was in business in Akron, OH (1911-1914) and Clarksburg, WV (1914-1951).This great getting really hard to find child set of Depression glass would certainly complement any collection.
