This is an old original handmade Kentucky tobacco basket. It is not perfect, but is about as good as you will find. It has a crack or a broken place or two which is to be expected. Please judge condition from the 9 photos that I have taken. All of the center pieces have been hand split. This is a very early basket. This is the exact basket that you will receive. It measures approx. 39 inches x 39 inches x 6 inches. It weighs approx. 11 1/2 pounds. It still has its original old gray paint around edges which is hard to find. It also has extra cross slats on front as you can see in photo. It is marked Springfield, Ky. New Farmers. The basket will not be shipped in a box. We ship these baskets the way they are with a heavy duty label. We have never had any problems in the past and we have shipped lots of them. We guarantee this basket to be an original and not a reproduction. Anyone is welcome to come by our Ky. farm and walk through an old Ky. tobacco barn where we have our baskets stored at this time. Our family was in the tobacco warehouse business for many years. Satisfaction guaranteed. We expect payment within 2 days please.
