Vintage French Graniteware Canister Old French enameled kitchen canister, with a fire engine red body decorated with an alternating red and raised white check “Lustucru” band and a black trim . The interior is enameled in a grayish relish pattern . This little guy measures 4¾” tall with lid. This fantastic piece shows some signs of age and usage , notably on the lid, trim and bottom edge (which has one small ding). Oddly enough, the interior has a large spot of red enamel, but remains very clean (thus the canister can be safely used). All in all, this fellow remains in very good overall shape and, with its attractive coloring and design , it is just right for adding an authentic splash of vintage France to your kitchen décor! ! .
