[British Isles & Ireland] Issued c. 1770s, Amsterdam by GraviusCharming and very scarce 18th century map.In VG to VG+ condition, original outline hand color & fold-lines as issued.Sheet measures c. 10 1/4" W x 8" HCharming little 18th century map printed for the very rare pocket atlas "Nieuwe Natuur- Geschieden en Handelkundige Zak- en Reis Atlas". Many of the plates for this atlas were originally engraved by Jacob Keyzer of Almelo, Holland for de Lat's (of Deventer) rare small atlases published between 1734-1747. These plates eventually came into the hands of the Amsterdam bookseller N. Gravius, who re-issued them for his own publication. Gravius also re-issued maps from the plates first used by S.J. Baalde's "Nieuwe Astronomische Geographische en Historische Atlas".Koeman, 2, Gra 2, pg. 122-3.(Z7680) We happily accept PayPal.
